WHY I RIDE FOR AUTiSM | Dave

I joined the ride for Autism for my Grandson, he lives with me & his grandmother he is nearly ten and autistic, non verbal with regards to talking but will sing all day long.

He was taken into care at the age of 4 after his mum was taken ill and was unable to care for him, with a lot of patience and work with social services it took-about a year to get him out of care and I now have him living with us under a court special guardianship order.

He attends a Local supported needs school to help him to develop and grow & I am one of the governors helping to influence the longer term objectives.
