WHY I RIDE FOR AUTISM | ASH

MEET ASH | One of our SGBFA Ambassadors.

Another mention here will have to be SUPERGOOD | BIKERS FOR AUTISM

As I find social interaction hard, my parents decided later in my life to get diagnosed for autism.

Back in 2023 I found out about SGBFA and learnt what they do for the community. As a motorcyclist and on the spectrum, I felt connected and immediately felt welcomed after getting in contact with Paul from SGBFA.

So I decided for the first time, I joined one of their rides back in July 2024. (Ride from Rykas.) I enjoyed the time away and meeting new people that I committed in 2025 that I will join more of their rides based across the country.

May 2025, I adventured up north to the Peak District for their 1st Ride of the year. This was defiantly a new experience, as I have never ridden this far from Devon before. However, it was great to explore this area of the country. I was definitely nervous heading up, as it was all new territory.

June 2025 was another far distance ride for me to Norfolk. But I was joined by two ambassadors, Jess & Chris that weekend, so it helped me overcome my nerves.

July 2025 joined me back to the 1st Ride I did with SGBFA from Rykas. Being the 2nd ride now from here, this area was familiar and which made it easier for me. For the first time, I got to be a tail-end Charlie for this ride. So have to say thanks for the opportunity to experience this role.

If it was not for SUPERGOOD | BIKERS FOR AUTISM community, I would have not gone out of my comfort zone and traveled those miles this year. Bring on 2026 where I have already booked to go on all their rides.
